۞ Thoughts of Nell:

• May update:

I'm still quite outta here but I'm painting again :) Soon I'll submit a brand new painting, I'm currently adding some details to the entire composition and soon it will be ready :) I think I'm changing my style abit. Evolving, evolving... It feels so good :D It's impressive I could have found some strength and time to paint again despite of being flooded with my main job - designing and preparing for the print.

• News:

I had 2 weekends of shopping spree, buying stuff for one of rooms: a couch, table, 2 nice armchairs, desk-chair, carpet, some decorative stuff like candle-holders etc. Still there's a lamp and a window roller to buy but it has to wait a bit because a new camera lens and an exclusive bike has been also bought :ohmygod: ...And still I want my laptop. Perhaps in 3 weeks - I hope (with another payment hehe ;)) Anyway I enjoy changing things and I'm quite satisfied of a new image of that room with a better space for reading, relaxing and working :) And at last with a bigger bed, more comfy and stylish. :)

• Important note:

After4 a very bad nagging of one of deviants because of my opinion about my stamps and the entire stamp-fever I decided to remove many of my stamps once and for all. That stamps are no longer available over DA for sharing and faving. To put myself clear: I've never considered my stamps an art, for my art I invite you to my main gallery.

• The present and future:

I'm fond of making some handicraft things which are displayed over the window panel and everywere else ;) and - suprising - but I have commissions for such things! :o I think it's the best way to relax for me. Except ofc. reading, writting and painting. Hot days are comming, so I'm about to go to the lakeside as soon as possible and do it every weekend. I miss swimming very much, besides I must go back into the shape after such a long winter ;) (ah precious de-stressing chocolate ;) I'm doomed ;))... Well I must confess I hate biking and I always hated it. The sport should give me the pleasure and biking isn't this particular thing - I hate to be hiper-exhausted and sweaty especially durings such sunny days like now. I prefer to cool myself down in the lake :) - considering the most important fact that I hate sun-bathing :bleh:

• For friends and visitors:

Stay creative and show me what you can do ;)

Aha. You can find me over facebook if you like. :) Just type my name.

deviantID

I'm an illustrator, graphic artist, designer and DTP specialist working in one of printing houses, so I'm connected to the Art 24 hours per day. I'm always inspired, only one problem is the lack of time, because for me the day should have at least 72 hours ;) - maybe that's why I don't like to sleep much.

Since 6 years I'm a member of DeviantART and I'm usually involved in the against-art-rip actions, supporting projects that hunt copyright violations down.

In a free time (when there's any) I do actually everything what I do in a busy time ;) - I paint or design for pleasure, getting use of my Wacom Intuos ;) I'm a hopeless single-player cRPG fan, a bookworm and music composer. I'm crazy about anthropology, ethnology and ancient & early medieval history, I'm fond of studying and comparing religions and cultures, I'm interrested in the aspect of myths, symbol, rites, Landschaftsethnologie and Landschaftsmythologie. I love theatre and poetry. I'm a researcher of semiotics and semiology.

I've got a husband whom I've met at deviantART  and I'm very happy in love :)

I'm a proud owner of a huge male crossbreed (Siberian Husky / Alaskan Malamute) and also a little vicious male cat :)

What else? Some curiosities: I'm propably one of just very few people that hate World of Warcraft  and I'm absolutely NOT romantic :noes:

You can write to me in: English, German, Swedish, Polish, Dutch,... in Latin as well (but I shouldn't count it, it's a dead language ;))

Hey! You have a wonderful gallery! ....and a great taste in music too :D

Hi! I must say you have developed alot during these 5 years I've been waching your work. (Got to know about you through your sister in art Aquilier).
I just have a question about drawing hair, if you could help me. You make your own brushes right? so when you do the thinnest lines of hair, do you use a thin brush and draw them one by one, or do you have a brush with several points??

--
This is where my signature used to be... anyone seen it??
Hi, thanks a lot. Well. for hair I don't make any my own brushes. I use thin airbrushes to paint them (I've got the tutorial in my gallery about it). I draw each strain of hair one by one - it is more natural and gives a nice lightning effect because I start with a darker background shades and come to lighter foreground ones, also correcting hair root shades and the size from the tickest to the thinnest.
The best brushes for me for painting hair are airbrushes from Corel Painter (tiny soft air and detailed airbrushes, sometimes I use pens from Painter because they're thin and can be used for a nice detail). I don't make hair brushes from the photo or something (I'm against it) - this in effect would look too flat and not detailed much, besides I don't use much Photoshop, custom brushes I make in PS are only e.x. from my own fractals, used as decorative ones.
